It’s onion letter time….

Oh you’ve heard about Onion letters - right? You know that’s what I call letters that you write when you have to complain to a company about how their wonderful employees, the ones that are supposed to use their heads and help me… (they should at least know where their head is located) - and to quote Tom Hanks “That’s the lump that’s 3 feet above your ass…”

On to the need for my Onion letter. You know I got new furniture on Friday-and I posted those pictures - you drooled over them (let me think you did - make me happy m’kay?) marveled at my ability to buy such wonderful furniture on such a tight budget…. well one of those chairs, it was broken. Now I wasn’t here when the furniture was delievered and from across the room - you couldn’t tell the front legs were not held together - you couldn’t see that the spindel was broken - but upon closer inspection - you could clearly see that the nail that was put in for re-inforcement caused it to break…. not something caused by myself, Mr. Incredible or the kids.

On Saturday morning at 9:35 am I call the store - and get Miss A. Now I tell Miss A my problem, she says to me - well I can set up a time for a service guy to come to your house to repair the chair. (WTF?) I inform her that we have had the furniture for less than 24 hours - and repair is not what I want - I want NEW, if I wanted scratch and dent, i would have bought off the floor. So I ask to speak to a manager, who happens to be in a meeting (are’t they always) and so I ask to speak to our sales lady - and she is not in as the store doesn’t open until 10 - then why are you answering the phone. She tells me I can call back at 10. (she doesn’t offer to take my number to have them call me - NO… I have to make another LD call) So I did.

The “manager” doesn’t want to replace my less than 24 hour old chair - she wants to repair it. UHM NO! If I wanted scratch and dent I would have bought off the floor. I tell her as much - she still is acting like I want her to give me the world - when all I want is a non-broken chair. I remind her of the store policy of 1 year satifaction, etc… and she insists on repair…I finally tell her - that if she can’t replace the broken chair that she can come to my house by 5 pm (sat) to get the whole set - and I would be reversing the charges. And I will never step foot in her store again (I also reminded her of all the past business we have done, and how we will be buying more…) Then all of the sudden she has the idea to replace the chair…which in the end they do.

But that was such crap - it took me who knows how many phone calls, threating to reverse the charges etc. to get her to say - bring the chair to the store - we will just replace it from one in the warehouse… I didn’t want my money back, I wanted a chair that wasn’t broken…If I had wanted broken I would have kept the set I already had.

Stupid people suck!

Side note the laptop I use to update my blog - just died…as in dead - I am going to have to haul my cookies down stairs into the cold cold basement - or use Mr. Incredible’s new laptop (like I’m using now shhh don’t tell him….) the screen went white…damn it!

Okay, so I did the 25 question thing from last week. And then I got to the last question and didn’t think I had anything fun to say. So, it sits on my desktop instead.

Thanks for sending me your new site. I so didn’t understand on your last momma post that you were done with that site. blonde moment for me!

Do people NEVER put themselves in your shoes anymore???? Grrrrrrrr! I’m sorry you had to go through all the crap to get it right, but I’m glad that it worked out in the long run! :)
