One of my daily reads was dooced because of his blog.
I don’t see why - he never bad mouthed his company or co-workers.
Apparently a co-worker complained about it and said it created a “Hostile work environment”…
I think - BULLSHIT….

Sounds like an HR person to me. You can’t have harrassment without a “hostile work environment” being present.
The good news is that if only one person thinks it’s creating a hostile work environment, harrassment doesn’t exist…unless it’s sexual.
OneHung has been over this literally hundreds of time in his work.
Companies are scared to death now anytime someone cries harrassment.

You know, this is why I don’t post about my staff job here.
I teach a class to freshman and I have incorporated blogs into my class. We debate the role of Dooced. I may ask Mr. Fab if I can include him.
I feel it’s my responsibility to alert students to their responsibility to evaluate situations and realize that once it cyberspace, it’s not completely private - this applys to what you read as well as write.
