This week we have had something going on every single night after work.
The poor kids have not had a decent meal, or been to bed on time all week. Tonight was an open house at the school. The concept is simple - but think about this - the school is Jr K through 2nd Grade - there is roughly 6 or 7 class for each grade - each class has 17-22 students - each student brought their parents, and step-parents, grandparents, and sibilings…. (that’s a few too many people in the halls if you ask me.)
The goal is to meet the teachers, and the people that spend 7 hours a day with your kid. You start in their main classroom and get a passport - then you have to collect stamps from all the teachers. We made the mistake of letting Pan lead the way - we went back and forth, up one hall, down the next and back. The school is set in pods if you will - Kindergarteners here, 1st graders over there, and 2 graders in the other section of the school. An HOUR later we are out of there, home in time to review spelling words, and read a little bit. Then bedtime routine….
Tossed a load of laundry in, and now I’m watching Grey’s Anatomy… only an hour behind - thankfully I’m recording it - because I’ll have to watch it again.
The washer just beeped, I need to clean the house…and instead I am blogging… better get off my butt and get it done.

It goes by so fast, believe me. You have hectic lives now and you think it will never get better but the kids grow up in the blink of your eye. You are sleep deprived, tired of driving kids all evening but you just won’t believe how fast time goes by and it will jut be you and the DH. You will have time to travel to visit your kids, make dinner or not and knit all day if you want. Hang in there.

Hello Welcome to My life times 4. LOL. I agree with Tutu though, even though I’m running around every day I’m trying to enjoy every min of it knowing they grow up WAY TOO FAST.

Fantastagirl ~ I could so use an update on Grey’s Anatomy. I like the show, unfortunately the new time conflicts with my small group time and we didn’t get it recorded last night. Can you update me?
Was in your town on Wed for a meeting. Ate across from BK. Passed an accident just outside of town where a semi was flipped on it’s side and the turkey’s he was hauling were “free at last”

Oh I feel your pain. All the running around with kids here there and everywhere…..
I am seriously considering getting Tivo - one thing about central time - I miss all the 8(7) oclock shows because we are all so busy….

yeah… i’ve never been able to figure out how my mom was able to cart around me and my two siblings and keep her sanity. it is one of the hugest fears i have about having kids… no time to do what i want to do.
