Tink and Pan’s Pumpkins – they aren’t very good this year – Mr. Incredible just isn’t feeling well – I did tinks (the face) and he did Pan’s – Creepy… (It’s a bad photo)
Getting ready to fly on her broomstick….
We went downtown and walked up and down mainstreet, and then took them to a few houses in our neighborhood. (about 10)
We didn’t have as many as we have in the past – I’d say maybe 100. We have a cauldron full of candy… oh well will take to to work and the construction guys can munch on that!
Hope you all had a Spooky Halloween!
Took him to the hospital – they did an ultrasound – they found nothing…(they don’t tell you if they did find anything anyway) – I tried to look at the screen, but the gal’s head was always in the way. I thought I might see gallstones or something…but nope all I saw was her. The head tech said it will probably be the end of the week before we know anything, so I’m am guessing they found nothing. In which case I’m thinking it probably just a very bad case of indigestion.
Now he is sitting in his chair – in pain, wanting to eat, not sure what to eat, and I should probably go back to work.
Pan’s teacher will probably call me to come get him – yes, I was a bad mom today – I gave him cough syrup and sent him on his way to school – the kid probably has the croup (again!)
Will take pics of the kids all dressed up and we have to do pumpkins this afternoon.
I am running out of time… Hate that!
Happy Halloween!
Tomorrow he goes to the hospital to see what is going on. Tonight – he’s in pain and but sleeping.
GNO – was okay – not as much fun as it could have been. 1) I was worried about Mr. I, and 2) one of the gals brought her 10 year old daughter along – ’nuff said.
Need snacks for Pan’s Class Halloween Party tomorrow, need to go through the mail from being gone for a week, and need to pay bills. Don’t want to do any of it.
Good News of the week – one of my co-workers gave her notice at work – she’s done at the end of the year. Not sure if she will actually last that long, but don’t really care. (is that a bad thing?)
Will update when I know something.
(or maybe I’m just losing my mind…..)
I think Mr. Incredible is dying. seriously. He has been in constant pain since Saturday – He should have gone to the doctor – but he wont. Am hoping that he will go on Monday. I don’t know what exactly is wrong, I just know it’s not right. I’m hoping that he can sleep tonight (Sunday) – we were up all night long (Saturday night), and then Tink woke me up very bright and early – because she’s a sweetie that way. “Momma, I missed you and I love you!”
Like an idiot, I checked my work email from home today. WTF? I’m glad I did – because it is amazing how stupid people can get when I am out of the office for a few days. The requests are stupid, they already know the answers (No – not my job, Nope – not in the budget, and yes, before I left – confirmation information is in your in-box!), but they had to go and ask anyway.
Have a great week people – I have GNO on Monday night (one of the gals at work is having surgery on Friday – so it’s kinda a good luck type party!), and then Halloween is Tuesday – last year we had around 350-400 kids…I’m kinda hoping that number goes down this year.
Need to convince Mr. Incredible to go to the Doctor. This isn’t his normal – “I’ve got a cold, I think I’m dying type stuff….” It’s more – like – “I’ve got abdominal pain, back pain, can’t keep anything down, think I’m dying type pain”…. maybe it’s a variety of things, I don’t know – just wish he would go to the drs.
Disclaimer: Please keep in mind, I am a small town gal. I was born in a small town (pop under 3,000) and have lived in a small town (pop around7,000) my whole life.
We got in to our room by 1:30 (our time) – and by the time we found something to eat, and it was close to 3:30 by the time we went to bed. We stayed at the Aladdin – Where we were upgraded to a king suite – but due to the fact that it was a smoking room – we asked to be moved. I didn’t know that one could smoke (and just about everyone does) anywhere and everywhere in Vegas. The Aladdin is under renovations to be changed to Planet Hollywood – so things were hard to get to – but things moved quickly – in the time we were there – the buffett opened back up (and it was GOOD…very very good!)
WOW! There was so much to see, I had a list of what I wanted to see – and Mr. Incredible had the plan of – we will get up (when we get up), and either go to the left or to the right. And that is what we did. Tuesday – we went to New York New York, MGM Grand, Luxor, and Excaliber. Loved New York New York – if we go back again – that is where I would want to stay. Gambled a little here, won some, lost more. But it was fun. We rode the roller coaster at NYNY – loved it! Mr. Incredible didn’t like it as much – he said he’s too old for that…. nah, it was fun!
Tuesday night we met up with some bloggers – Mr. & Mrs. Fab, and Sodapop. The Fabs were just as funny in person as on the blog, and Sodapop was just as fantastic and it was as if we had known each other for a long time. Had a great time – and the time just flew by. We ate at a resturant called Quarks – which was a little Quarky – it was part of the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton, Since we are not Star trek fans we had a great time laughing at the people who were like- “Mom, Look it’s the Enterprise…”
On our way back to the hotel we caught the Fountains at the Bellagio.
Wednesday – Went right – and walked through Paris (effiel tower), Bellagio, Cesars (The shops), the Venitian (the canals), Bally’s. We went to the Stratosphere, great view from the observation deck – although I chickened out and didn’t want to ride the roller coasters on the top. I don’t know – it just didn’t seem that safe. (Maybe I’m getting old)
Thursday-We went off the beaten path and went to the Pinball Hall of Fame. Pretty neat – played a few games – and Mr. Incredible has found the new game he wants – he’s not getting it – but he knows he wants it. Went to the Freemont Street Experience – That was cool. They covered about 5 blocks of the “old strip” and have an awesome light show – it’s one of those things you have to see to appreciate.
Friday – clicked our shoes, and we were home… or something like that.
Still tired – Mr. Incredible got sick on Saturday night, and he and Pan are both still sick on Sunday. I’m not feeling the best, and I’m sure if I felt up to it – this would be a much better post – but I’m feeling kinda under the weather too.
It’s Sunday – which means – it’s time for the game we all play with Kelly – Sunday SIX… This week – HALLOWEEN….. BOO! This week’s answers are provided by Tink (4) and Pan (6).
1. When is Halloween?
Tink: Tomorrow’s Tuesday

Pan: Go trick or treating and get CANDY!!
5. Why do we wear costumes?
Tink: To scare people
Pan: To scare people.
6. What do you get on Halloween?

Pan: CANDY!
See you Sunday!
There is something to be said about being home…
(not sure what that means, but I’m glad to be home.)
The flight was “uneventful” – although for most of the way there – we had “turbulence” (BS – it was bouncy) – flight home was great! (although I’d take a roller coaster ride over flying in an airplane anyday!)
We had an AWESOME “Honeymoon” 10 years late, and met some wonderful people. Will have some pictures, and an update – right now, it’s time for bed. The kids were glad to have us back – I think they missed us. Pan jumped into my arms the minute I walked in the door – and gave me the biggest hug. Tink gave me a ginormous hug and sat on my lap for 15 minutes. (She never sits still.)
This is going up early, I have so much that has to be done before I leave – that I am not going to have time – sorry!
In less than 12 hours, Mr. Incredible and I will be in an airport, waiting to board our plane to VEGAS. VIVA LAS VEGAS….
I’m excited, scared, nervous, and terrified – and not necessarily in that order.
The kids? They can’t wait for Papa and Grandma to be here – I don’t think they realize that WE won’t be here while they are here. Pan knows it – but Tink? I don’t think she gets it…but she will… and I’m dreading that bit of reality. I haven’t left my kids since bringing them home from the hospital. Who wants to place the bet, that I’ll be the one crying, and they will be the one having a great time?
I’m really looking forward to alone time with Mr. Incredible – will be great to have him all to myself. (now THAT is selfish isn’t it!)
And while packing for this “adventure” I am realizing, I am not a happy-go-lucky, play-it-by-ear type person. I need to know – DETAILS…and I think my hubby is realizing this as well, because I asked him for the confirmation details (they are on his email) two days ago – nothing, asked him again one day ago – nothing, asked him this morning, nothing, and I finally said at about 8:30 last night – what is wrong with the printer that you can’t print this information out for me?
I think secretly, he loves messing with my mind. I needed to see the numbers, to know that yes, we really do have flight reservations, a place to stay, (and yes I was there when he booked the flight) etc. I know – for those of you that travel on a regular basis – this is no big deal. But for me – this is a BIG …don’t give me shite about this. AND I also need to know how many suitcases we could bring, the size of the carry-on etc. Apparently, I’m the type to worry about this stuff. (but remember Murphy* is our frickin’ uncle – and I just don’t want him along on the trip!)
AND – while I’m on vacation – I’m taking a blogging vacation – don’t have any fun without me!
See you when I get back!
(Now I’m off to figure out how to play poker – or black jack, or craps, or something… maybe I’ll just stick to the slots!)
*Think – Murphy – of Murphy’s law – if something can go wrong – it will. That would be us. Outdoor project – started the 1st weekend of September – it still is not completed.

5. When is your birthday?
Tink: In October, 11th

6. What do you do on your birthday?
Tink: Celebrate,
Pan: invite some friends over
When we went to Kelly’s site to get the questions and Tink see Janelle’s picture – I tell her that she will be 4 on Sunday. Tink says – I’m 4 – she should come play. I want to have her come play – we could play dollys, and house, and with my princess clothes, and with my little pony – Momma, will she get a new dolly or pony on her birthday. Will she have a party? Can we go?
This is a normal Tink reaction – she is full of questions. I told her Janelle was in Ca, Which leads to going to Pan’s room to look at a map to see that it is indeed very far away. “Maybe we can fly there…I wish I had my wings….”
Hope you all have a great Sunday!!
- Happy Birthday to Janelle -
she’s a cutie!
PS – it was regular blogger that was giving me problems…I’ll probably be up-grading when we return – and….NO SNOW (yet!!) lots of rain, but no snow!
Guess what –
I have time to blog – even comment on blogs, but I can’t. Wanna know why? Because Blogger doesn’t like me. I’m not part of the elite – the BETA group…so it’s broken. I’d love to read the comments you left, I’d like to let you know that I read them – but I can’t.
When I can, I’ll be by to visit.
The only way I got this up was to email it – and I wonder if that even worked….
