Guess who graduated from 4 year old pre-school today?
Guess who will be going to 5 year old pre-school next fall, cause she won’t technically be five until OCTOBER - which is 30 days too late to go to Kindergarten!

way to go mom and dad! tink is absolutly adorable. my kids never got kindergarten graduations, and then never went to pre school, you are lucky to have gotten this experience!

Congrats Tink! Our kids will go to kindy together - Syd turns 5 in Jan (6 weeks after our Dec 1 cutoff).
I hope you get answers soon on Mr. Incredible’s test. Nothing is worse than waiting and worrying. Once you have news, you can deal, but until then it’s just “what ifs”

LOL… it seems like a travesty now, but it won’t be in about 2 years. (Coffeekid missed the cut off by 5 days. They would not budge. In hindsite I’ve been thankful.)
From the sound of it you don’t have a private or Christian school in your area, but that is an option. Sign her up for kindergarten at the local Christian school - and then transfer her to 1st grade next year. That’s the only way around the ‘cut off’ thing.
PS: Cut off dates change depending on the school, the town, the state. I’ve seen everything from August 31st to December 15th!!!!

Tenacious B - Acutally she is “in looooove” with a little boy who is in her pre-school class, and he lives up the street from us. They think they are going to get married…but they can’t decide where they would live… too funny.

aka_meritt - I’m not that upset about it, but she will have to make all new friends, and that is what she will have problems with. She is a little bit shy when it comes to making new friends, I’m sure it will be better as time goes on. but I’m thinking being on the older side of the class rather than the younger will be good for her especially in years to come.
