I was busy today. Wanna know what I did? you don’t - then don’t read any further….
Hey, I warned you….
Got to work at 7:30 am - realized I forgot something at home, went home, got back to work…
1) Set up portable DVD player to show boss what he needed to buy to make something work and that it would or wouldn’t work, etc…sometimes you have to see to believe.
Go through the “opening of the office routine” - takes forever!
2) Enter 7 new employees into system, set them up with keys etc.
3) Pay bills for Company #2
4) Payroll for Company #2 - 20 or so employees (1 didn’t get paid - he didn’t turn in his time sheet…)
12:30 - Lunch Break - got a whopping 5 minutes to eat some grapes, while waiting for my soup to warm up - and then was interrupted by the beer delivery guy, and then the linen guy, and then a bride showed up and wanted a tour…1:45 back to my desk, co-worker put soup in the fridge, at that point in the game, decided to skip the soup. and went back to my list…
5) Payroll for Company #1 - 5 employees and monthly reports required for grants and contracts…
Phone rings constantly for both companies - (not complaining, but the other secretary seemed to be MIA this afternoon)
6) take checks to appropriate people for signatures (finding the people is half the battle - they know I look for them at the end of each month!)
4:00 pm -
7) found my desk - it’s been the dumping ground for the past week and today - I finally starting handing things to the people who put it there every time they walked past my desk. Boss from Company #1 and Asst. Boss from Co. #2, were scared to walk by the end of the day - but I did find the top and am down to three huge stacks - feeling good about that - I should be able to get to the bottom of that tomorrow. - I like to have a clean desk at the end of everyday - makes morning so much easier!
cleared off - one laptop, one DVD/VCR player, and am down to: Laptop - 1, portable DVD player - 1, desktop computer-1, phones - 2 … so very excited - I may even get (get this - are you ready?) another file cabinet … CAN’T WAIT! I got a new fire safe today - WOOT!!
and then I got to leave - at 5:00 - only 1/2 hour later than I am supposed to leave - LOVED that - great DAY!!! I had close to 20 hours of OT on my paycheck. Gonna love that little extra money, but it seems like that FICA GUY got most of it - the bastard!
Yes, I know - I should take a picture of my desk sometime - most people look at me like I am nuts when they see my work space. (it’s okay, I know I am.)

I went to work, did a constant day of work with one break. I came home, went for a walk and had dinner and went back to work. Then I came back here and I’ve been hanging around ever since.
You do a good job. Hey!!! You’re OK.

end of month inventory prep, payables, receivings, corporate came in, ate at desk (like always) while waiting on customers, got drivers ready to go, made sure trucks were loaded correctly. wash, rinse, repeat.
I totally understand the clean desk in the morning thing!!

I love when people with a real live job where they talk to other adults give me the blow by blow of their day…it’s almost as if I’ve been released into the wild to my own life again.
Almost…except I’m not getting a paycheck.

What did I do on Wednesday
woke up at 7:30am, got 4 kids dressed and feed, threw cloths on myself. at 8:30am was out the door to drop Princess off at her school the next stop Dropping Mr Man off at his school, then back home to get myself dress. At 10:30am out the door again to drop Little Man off at grandmas house, 11am took Sweet Pea to her end of the year Preschool picnic in the park was there in the 90 degree weather until 1pm. back to grandma’s to pick up Little Man got home about 1:30pm put Little Man down for a nap, Only he wouldn’t go to sleep unless I laid with him so I laid in bed till 2pm.. Got up did some laundry had to wake Little man up at 3pm to go pick Mr Man up from school then on to pick Princess up from School. Home by 3:30pm where I cooked dinner, feed everyone really quick.. and was out the door again by 4:30 to the spotting good store because Princess league team makes them wear ball pants not the normal shorts softball players wear.. So buy pants(her complaining that she looks like a boy) then it was on to her ball game she had to be there at 5:30pm for a 6pm game watched fastpitch softball(Princesses team) till 8pm Got home at 8:45pm(it was a away game) Got the younger kids bath while Mr Man and Princess did homework, then had Prinecess and Mr Man shower.. then got everyone the younger 3 to bed about 10pm Princess finished up her home work till about 10:30pm and I watched the end of the Cavs and Pistons basketball game, Then got online did some blogging and then went to bed about 1am. So now you know what I did LOL.. bet you never thought I would tell ya when you asked did you ?;P
