I’m so excited….

come September I should have a new front tooth! (doesn’t that just sound like the most red-neck thing a gal can say?)

Let’s go back in time - shall we?

The year is 1984, a beautiful spring day. I’m 10 in 4th grade, and playing at recess. I get hit in the face, get a bloody nose, and my front tooth broke in half. So the new dentist in town, a very nice, albeit a little weird, guy puts a partial in for me. Fast forward to 1991, I get braces - fast forward 1993 - braces come off, and I start having problems with that tooth. I end up needing a root canal and get a crown. Fast Forward to present day - I’m starting to have some problems with it, so when I went to my present dentist for my semi-annual polish and shine I told him about the problems I am having with it. He talks to his assistant, who looks into my insurance policy and guess what? They will pay for 1/2.

Now I just need to whiten my teeth just a little, and then fill out some paperwork for the insurance company and I’d say by September I’ll have a new tooth.

So - do any of you use whitening strips? What works, what doesn’t?

YEAH FOR YOUR NEW TOOTH!!!!! I’m excited for you. :)

Crest Whitening works great - and you don’t need the premium. The $16.99 version works AWESOME and you’ll see a difference in about 3 days. BabyGirl bought some last weekend and is using them right now too!

I used Crest Whitening Strips ages ago and they were great. The Crest Whitening Rinse burned the shit out of my tastebuds and it too them three weeks to regnerate…no…I’m not kidding…

Congrats on the new toof…are you getting a kick ass gold one or just the plain old run of the mill white?

Yes - a gold one with a diamond in the center?

I think you can just use white housepaint.

I used the Crest White Strips and they worked great. A friend of mine was going to get hers professionally done and she asked a friend that was a dentist about it. He said to use the Crest Strips instead. He said it did as good of a job!

Choppz & Jodes - Looks like Crest Whitening is the way to go….

aka_meritt - It’s the little things in life….Thanks for the heads up will pick some up the next time I’m in the store.

TKW - rinse = bad… I kinda like having taste buds - thanks for the heads up! I think I’m going for the plain ol’ white one….

Joeinvegas - gold with diamond in the center, I’ll ask, but I’m guessing that will cost extra - and the insurance probably wouldn’t cover it. With my luck the diamond would pop off, and I’d swallow it…

    TC - I can’t wait!

Mr. Fab - House paint… now, why didn’t I think of that?

me: well that’s a third vote for those - will pick up the box and let you know!
