Balanced is good.

It’s balanced.

No more…little song in my head.

Mr. Incredible was home tonight so I left work, picked up kids from daycare, dropped them off at home and went back to work.

It’s amazing what I can accomplish when the office is silent. This morning my to-do list was a legal pad long…. by noon I had a accomplished a great deal - but that was because I told everyone that if they wanted to get paid today, they would not bug me….and it worked, to a degree.

One of my boss’s stopped by - he saw my truck and wondered why I was there…saw my desk buried in paperwork, and said… “ahhh bookwork, looking for something?”

yes…. not looking up from my papers….

He asked if I could take a break - so I marked my spot, and looked up. He basically wanted to thank me for all that I have done lately for his company, and that he and the board appreciate it.

I know that to some that doesn’t mean much, but to hear a “thank you” and that they appreciate what I have been doing means alot to me. At least I know they don’t take me for granted - well not completely.

That was at 7:30 pm

Shortly after that I found what I was looking for, and then I was able to move forward with my work.

At 8:30 - I walked out - balanced, quarterly reports for two companies completed and year end reports almost completed for one company, can’t do anymore without bank statements.

Simply amazing what I can accomplish when I am allowed to think about what I am doing.

    so you work with numbers?

    Cus I hate numbers.

So if you want, I can take over the hating of your job full time and you can just think and work and maybe have a bit of watermelon when the mood hits you…

Oh yes… which is why so many people remain at the office after 5:pm and come in on weekends. ;)

I’m loving that he said ‘Thank You’. I think it’s uber important!

Tenacious b - I got a raise - found out about it in the middle of june - it just doesn’t go into effect until July 1st - and I only get paid once a month, so…. I won’t see that benefit until the end of the month.
