Gumbo…

Do you ever see something during your day - and think to yourself “Self, you must remember to blog about that.” and then you get home and you sit down, and get ready to type out this perfect post, and your mind goes blank.

I hate it when that happens…

**************

I do have an inner ear infection, the Doctor gave me some wonderful ear drops (they are very very expensive!) and some antibiotics. Hopefully it stops throbbing soon!

*************

I’m getting used to this quiet house thing, although I miss Tink and Pan, as much as they can drive a person nuts, I miss ‘em. My sister was making fun of me, because we were thinking this is the first time ever that I have a completely empty house… ever. Sad isn’t it. I’ve always had family, a roommate, Mr. Incredible, a friend or the kids around…and another sad thing - someone said - find something that you want to do - and can’t because the kids are around… uhm… unfortunately this has made me realize - my life revolves around - my husband, my kids and my work - I don’t know who ‘I’ am anymore. I need to find that out, because in a few years the kids will be gone, and then what? Good thing Mr. Incredible loves a boring person - because that’s what I am.

Scary….

I am sure you aren’t boring! Have you read the new Harry Potter book? I hear it is all the rage. LOL!

    Ummm…solitare?
    Knitting?

I am sure there is something. Wait a sec…in a few years? Are your kids still in single digits?

ITs ok I am boring too. Boring people unite! Wait! YOU are not boring at all!

My kids are grown and I still have a life…a pretty bland boring life but I would rather have bland and boring than constant drama.

I remember once when I was in college and my dad went out of town. My mom was freaking out because she was going to be all alone! I laughed at her :-)

There will come a time, all too soon, when you’ll feel the need to “find” yourself.

For now, appreciate the quiet, the noise will return, appreciate the peace, the chaos isn’t far away

Do something nice for yourself, a bubble bath, a chick flick, like Notting Hill, and read a juicy book!

    Oops
I forgot to add that the juicy book will make Mr. Incredible appreciate you just that much more when he returns and you remove his trousers with your teeth ;)
