To all the parents…

Have you ever had days where you wish you had no children?

Have you have had days where you wish that you maybe only had one instead of two?

*blink*

WHAT? I’m the only one????? You LIE… You’ve all had days like today - none of you are brave enough to admit it….

******************

Today is day two of NO afternoon naps for a particular 4 year old, add that to the heat - which the 7 year old is going nuts over because school got out early and how is he going to get smart if he is constantly missing school - (That’s him who is worrying about that - not ME). and that makes for an interesting evening in the Incredible household….

so I’ve been home for 1 hour and 12 mins and 55, 56, 57 seconds - oh you get the idea, and I CAN’T WAIT for work tomorrow…..I can’t remember having this feeling of wanting to be there instead of here… WTF?

We never started school until after Labor Day, so I’m not used to seeing school buses in Aug. All they do is muck up my commute!

AS Laura says, wait until they are climbing out the window at 2 in the morning.
    Until then, tequilla.

When I left Rochester Tuesday it was 90 F and muggy. By the time I hit Cannon Falls it was 76 and raining How quickly the weather can change around here.

Even now with our children adults there are times when I wonder “what the *bleep* was I thinking?”.

    It does get better though

I have one 2.5 year old and all day when I am at work I long to be with him but about an hour after being with him, I sometimes long to be back at work. At least my coworkers aren’t so tiring and needy!

I oftentimes think it would be nice to go to work and let someone else deal with the kids and there are many times that I wonder sheese, will I make it through this? But I am so fortunate to have these beautiful kids and I just have to remember that. . . . even when I want to return them.

I am a SAHM who is really burned out on her job right now.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to discuss how OFTEN my thoughts go down that road.

Flip Flop Goddess - Life would have been easier if we didn’t start until next week…Tink is in afternoon preschool… what the heck was I thinking, the girl still needs an afternoon nap.

Mr. Fab - I was thinking Mr. Fab Daycare….

Shannin - I’m thinking of moving to MN…. at least they have a longer summer vacation…..

Laura - My Grandma told me the only difference between men and boys was the size of their toys….and I have a feeling, that I will be wishing for them to be young again.

    joeinvegas… tequilla - excellent advice..thankyou!

Mal - I know wait 15 minutes, and the weather will change…

Vani - I know that I would make a good SAHM espeically in the school year… lol

meredith - my coworkers are normally tiring and needy - it’s like they are two! But I know - usually as adults they can understand reason. USUALLY!

Superwoman - You got a return policy? Wait a minute - I’m moving to your part of the states - my hospital didn’t give me a warranty or even a user manual when we brought them home… hmmm makes me wonder because they give you a user manual for an electric pencil sharpener and a warranty card (why?) but not for kids… perhaps some moms should write one.

Bon - You are a SUPER SAHM… you’ve had a rough year, but you are one amazing woman, and I hope to someday be able to meet you in person. I truly enjoy reading your blog, seeing your kids grow and love their art! But it is nice to know you are human, and have days where, well, you’d like to have a break too.
