Conversations with Tink…

Tonight when I picked up Tink and Pan from daycare, Pan was playing checkers with his little buddy. Pan was having fun - and not quite done with the game - and the Dad of the little buddy was waiting for him to finish so I let them continue.

Tink was looking at slides in a viewfinder - they have the ones with the decades… I can’t decided if the Dad of ‘little buddy’ seriously thought I would remember the 70’s - He implied that I might had too much fun in the 70’s - until I told him - I was born in the late 70’s - so remember current events? uh…No….. then I remember - Little buddy - is the surprise… his parents are in their 50’s. His Dad - doesn’t look it AT ALL. Just saying…

Tink: Momma when do I get to be a boyscout?

FG: You can be a girlscout when you are in kindergarten, but you can’t be a boyscout.

Tink: Girlscouts are boring. If I cut my hair can I be a boyscout?

FG: It doesn’t work that way. besides if you were a boyscout, you wouldn’t be able to dress up in all your princess outfits.

Tink: I like to be a princess…

    Nice move there chica.

Diverted the topic like a pro. I’m proud of you.

    (P.S. I remember the 70s a little… You didn’t miss much)

… I bet even as a boyscout she could still dress up in her princess dresses. LOL.

PS: 2 of my brothers were boyscouts and my Mom was Den Mother - which meant I basically was a boyscout by default as I was helping at all the meetings, teaching them the pledge, learning along with them, and in some of the photos. I suggest you become a Den Mother! Then Tink can be an honorary boyscout too.

    LOL.

I remember the 70s. I was a girl scout back then. Tink is right…it sure seemed like the boy scouts had more fun.

Let her join the boy scouts. She will really thank you when she’s 16 and the only girl in the pack.

As a girl scout we got to make sno cones & cotton candy at fair time, AND sell girl scout cookies.

and eat too many of them.

    But I like her thinking!
