one less thing to worry about

When you own a home, and have a mortgage - you have to have home_insurance. If you own a car, and want to drive it in our state you have to have insurance, and everyone wants cheap car insurance.

So in my most recent search for insurance, I have found that sometimes going on-line can save you a ton of money, and sometimes staying local is the best option. I kinda like having the agent come over to your home, and show how the policy will work for you. Also when you live in a small town like we do, and you see your agent in the grocery store, or shopping downtown, you would like to believe that they are going to be there when you need them.

I’ve been lucky - every time I’ve had a claim, my insurance agent has made the process easy. In fact after we called in to report hail damage to our vehicles, he asked when the adjuster should come by and look at the roof of the house. We didn’t think about the roof having damage - and they fixed it, actually they replaced it. If we could afford their premiums we would still be with that company, but even with the multiple policy discount, our current premium is about $600 per year cheaper. And sometimes you have to give up the local agent because of budgets.
