Is any one else getting magazines at their place of employment, or home that they didn’t ask for?
We have three magazines that we are currently getting at work, and we have called stating that we didn’t request them. We have sent letters via certified mail, asking them to cancel the subscription, as it wasn’t ordered, and we have returned the invoices marked - CANCEL - we didn’t order this magazine. Right now, I can’t think of the names of any of them. I have to think the company is losing money by continuing to send us the magazine, and continuing to send the bills.
Have to keep in mind, we are a non-profit organization, we don’t have extra money for magazine subscriptions, and if we did we certainly would be getting something decent - like Newsweek, Time, heck even the Reader’s Digest, not the crap they’ve been sending. I’ll have to look through the recycling bin - because it’s driving me nuts that I can’t remember the name of the magazines.

I have heard that as long as you make an effort to return them-even if you are unsuccessful-and they were unsolicited, you may keep anything that comes in the mail without an obligation to make a donation or pay for them. (Such as magazines, mailing stickers from non-profits looking for donations, etc.) We have been through this too many times to count!

My office gets TONS of magazines that we have never paid for……and they just keep coming every month!

Funny you bring that up. Just in the past few months I’ve started to receive random magazines. The 4 so far are…
-Town & Country
-Weight Watchers (I read it for the articles, I promise!)
-Conde Nast
-Woman’s Day
(did I mention I live alone?) I mean, if you’re going to send me mags, send me anything with hot women or computer stuff. Gah.
