Tink did what?

I need to start this with my kids (8 & 5) are convinced that I know everything that happens in their day before it happens, I know if they’ve made a poor choice, that the daycare gals tell me all. They also know that as long as they tell me before I get the note, or told by the teacher that they will not be in as much trouble. Tonight I am greeted with the following:

Tink: Hi Momma!

FG: Hi Tink!

Tink: Guess what? Her face suddenly sad and no longer looking at me.

FG: What?

Tink: You have to sign a note today, I bit Pan.

FG: You did what?

Tink: I was so mad, I ran out of words, and my mouth just bit him.

FG: Where?

Tink: At the lunch table.

FG: No, where did you bite him.

Tink: On his back, so no TV for a week? (with a little bit of a smile)

FG: Will discuss this when we get home.

So I approach the teacher, and ask her if I have a note to sign. And because its a sibling issue - no note. (I’m good with that.) And the teachers’ comment to me - she can’t do that - but he kinda had it coming.

So anyone want to borrow my kids? They’ve been soo good all summer long, and now she bites? WTH?

I better get to work - I’m supposed to be there, uhm now… oh well.

Sounds like a normal sibling issue. Cakes bites Cookie sometimes too. I ask her why and she says “I’m sorry Mom, he just made me so mad, I hate him”. Sigh, hopefully they’ll be friends one day.

They are both had limited access to TV - meaning, they could watch what i was watching (boring) or they could go to their rooms and read. I know.

Tonight I sent them outside - they were just driving me nuts! Tink has said more than once that she won’t do it again, and can she please go to Kindergarten?

That is great that your kids are honest and upfront with you - even though it is because they’re trying to cover their butts!
