Getting up at O’Dark Thirty tomorrow moring, so I can be at the corporate office, or the company’s headquarters, or the main campus, or <insert you fancy name here for going to the main office>. Does any of that make sense? NO? neither does the reason that I am going there.
Our fiscal year end, like many corporations is June 30th, the new accounting system that they switched us to – that is supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread, is having a glitch, a snare, a slight, barely noticeable (if you never turn on the system) problem. And so we are attending a conference with the big guys to determine 1) how we will proceed with our year end, and 2) how to convince the local yocals, that this glitch, is not a big thing, completely expected, and we will have no problems passing our audits in the fall. (and if you buy that… then I should be in sales!)
Big announcements were made today re: the future of the company I work for…. big changes are coming. I am beyond stressed out about them, and yet I’ve heard NOTHING about what we are doing in our office. The powers that be have yet to make a decision…NADA… remember in May when I had to submit my resume and re-apply for my job? Yeah, still waiting.
In other non-stressful news… apparently I was interviewed by a BIG radio personality today, (didn’t know I was live on the air) was just talking to him, and my Dad and his co-workers, and well, the entire state heard it. Honestly – I don’t think it was me. I did talk to the guy – had a 5 min conversation with him, but don’t they have to tell you before you go on air???? Seriously – what would have happened if I dropped the “F” bomb, or something like that?

They do a five second tape delay with someone listening to cut you off before it’s broadcast. Yes, it would have been nice if you were told that you were on the air first, but I have not heard much recently about the competance of broadcasters.

Seems they always upgrade our system (ALWAYS having glitches) right before quarter or year end…that never made sense to me. Good luck!!
